The Gallo-Roman site of Escolives (on the ancient Roman road known as Agrippa, 10 km south of Auxerre) was occupied throughout the Gallo-Roman period, between the end of the 1st century BC - C. and the end of the 5th century AD. The Cora site has been inhabited since the Neolithic era (more than 6,000 years ago). Then, it sheltered entrenched villages until the Roman conquest before becoming a fortified post on the Agrippa Way linking Lyon to Boulogne-sur-Mer.
Three circuits on the site of the double meander of the Cure, between Saint-Moré and Arcy-sur-Cure allow the discovery of the prehistoric caves of Saint-Moré, the Camp de Cora, the quarry of Merovingian sarcophagi and the miraculous fountain of Saint-Moré.
